How to Score a Free Drink and Fries at Macca’s This Week

Given the current cost of living crisis, we love a time when we can snag something free – particularly free food. That’s why this latest deal from McDonald’s is actually a pretty good one. The fast food restaurant is offering up a free drink and fries for an entire week, provided you indulge in one specific menu item.

If you missed the news, McDonald’s Australia recently did away with the Crispy Chicken Deluxe burger and instead replaced it with the McCrispy – a burger with the backing of the Kid LAROI.

The new McCripsy burger features 100 per cent Aussie RSPCA-approved chicken breast with a crispy coating, shredded iceberg and cos lettuce and sauce.

McDonald’s has clarified that the main differences between the burgers are the McCrispy’s juicier and crispier patty and the new creamy ranch-style sauce exclusive to the McCrispy.

To encourage everyone to try the deliciousness that is the McCrispy, Macca’s is running a deal over the next week that offers a small free fries and drink to anyone who purchases the base burger or McCrispy Deluxe.

The catch is that you must order the meal through the MyMacca’s app, and it will only be available from Wednesday, October 25 at 10:30 am until Tuesday, October 31.

“It’s been fantastic to see the positive response to the new McCrispy burger, which is well on its way to becoming a fan favourite since joining our permanent menu last month. We know how important value is to our customers right now, so we are continuing to celebrate the launch of the McCrispy by giving our customers more bang for their buck, while they enjoy the hottest new thing to hit our menu this year.” Lancy Huynh, Marketing manager for McDonald’s Australia, said in a statement about the deal.

A reminder that you can use the MyMacca’s app to order in-restaurant, takeaway and drive-thru, and you’ll earn points for every dollar you spend on eligible food purchases – which results in more free food redemptions later down the line.

Consider this deal an excuse to treat yourself to Macca’s this week.
