Apple’s New iPad Pro Looks Like A Giant iPhone X

Tomorrow Apple will hold a special event in New York where it is widely expected a new iPad Pro will be revealed. An icon hidden deep inside iOS 12 appears to reveal what the device will look like. Intriguingly, there is no home button and the corners are now rounded – just like the iPhone X.

9to5Mac has discovered what it thinks could be the 2018 iPad Pro design within iOS 12. The icon lacks a Home button and has rounded corners which is a significant departure from the current iPad Pro. Indeed, the design is more in line with the iPhone X. (Sans a notched display.)

The tablet bezels are significantly thicker than Apple’s iPhone range although as 9to5Mac points out, this may be a deliberate exaggeration to make the icon appear cleaner.

Despite the aforementioned design tweaks, it’s safe to say that the new iPad Pro won’t be looking to reinvent the wheel – which is obviously a good thing. If you’re keen to find out more, Apple will be streaming the event live from New York. Click here for details!
