Krispy Kreme Is Giving Away 30,000 Free Doughnuts Today

To celebrate National Doughnut Day, Krispy Kreme will be handing out free Original Glazed Doughnuts today between 5:30am and 11:59pm. Hurrah! Here's how to claim your freebie.

Krispy Kreme is once again giving away Original Glazed doughnuts to anyone who visits its stores in NSW, Queensland, Victoria, and WA. The deal is only available at official Krispy Kreme outlets (i.e. -- not 7 Eleven service stations) and only while stocks last. All other states and territories miss out. Sorry guys.

To get your free doughnut, you don't need to join the Krispy Kreme loyalty program or like them on Facebook -- simply rock up to a participating outlet and ask for a free doughnut. You can find the closest Krispy Kreme store to your location here.

There's a limit of one doughnut per customer, but we highly doubt anyone will notice if you make multiple stops throughout the day. An enterprising individual could also embark on an epic doughnut crawl using Google Maps. You know you want to.

This year, you can watch a live stream of the doughnuts being glazed on Krispy Kreme's Facebook page. Apparently, it takes the Krispy Kreme staff more than four hours to handcraft a dozen-pack of Original Glazed doughnuts. Despite the lengthy process, a Krispy Kreme store at full capacity can produce more than 200 dozen doughnuts per hour. The more you know.

I don't think handcrafted is the right word for Krispy Kreme's donut process.
