Back in July, we reported that McDonald’s was serving an all-day breakfast menu at its Wollongong and Illawarra outlets. Following this successful trial, the 24/7 offering is now launching nationwide. Hurrah!
McDonald’s All Day Breakfast Menu kicked off today in Victoria and Tasmania, with other states expected to follow in early 2016. In addition to company-owned stores, McDonald’s has committed to getting all of its licensees on board too. That’s right, boys and girls — you’ll soon be able to eat a Sausage & Egg McMuffin for dinner from anywhere in Australia.
The decision to launch an all-day breakfast came off the back of consumer demand, particularly weekend revelers and late-night shift workers who require a brekky fix at odd hours. Available menu items include the Bacon and Egg McMuffin, Sausage and Egg McMuffin, Hashbrowns and Hotcakes; all of which will be available 24 hours, seven days a week.
If you hail from Melbourne, you’ll be able to score a free Bacon & Egg McMuffin tomorrow between the times of 3pm and 5pm. “The McMuffin-chutes will sail down from the rooftop of McDonald’s into a laneway in the CBD,” McDonald’s explained in statement. Sounds delicious and alarming.
Have you tried Macca’s all-day breakfast menu yet? Did it work for you as a post-brekkie treat? Share your thoughts in the comments!

If the sheer amount of ads i’ve seen for the US launch of this during the NFL is anything to go by McDonalds will absolutely make sure you, everyone you know and their dog knows about this, crazy level of ads even for these guys
Takes away any reason for Michael Douglas to shoot up the place when he’s 3 minutes too late to order his ham and cheese whamlet with whammy fries.
So exciting!!!
