Technically, this beverage only has two ingredients, but I’m counting a strip of necessary lemon zest to bump it up to three. Honestly, pear brandy is so flavorful – it tastes strongly of pears, obviously – that just a little bit of Cocchi Americano is all that’s needed to transform it into a sophisticated cocktail. Make it as a pre-dinner aperitif, or whip up a few to help you unwind after the meal is served. To make it, you will need:
- 75mL pear brandy
- 22mL Cocchi Americano
- 1 strip of lemon zest
Pour the two spirits into a stirring glass and fill it with ice. Stir until very well chilled, strain into a coupe glass, and express the oils from the zest over the glass. Plop the zest in the glass, and enjoy.
