3-Ingredient Happy Hour: The Cranberry Sauced

Technically, this beverage only has two ingredients, but I'm counting a strip of necessary lemon zest to bump it up to three. Honestly, pear brandy is so flavorful - it tastes strongly of pears, obviously - that just a little bit of Cocchi Americano is all that's needed to transform it into a sophisticated cocktail. Make it as a pre-dinner aperitif, or whip up a few to help you unwind after the meal is served. To make it, you will need:

  • 75mL pear brandy
  • 22mL Cocchi Americano
  • 1 strip of lemon zest

Pour the two spirits into a stirring glass and fill it with ice. Stir until very well chilled, strain into a coupe glass, and express the oils from the zest over the glass. Plop the zest in the glass, and enjoy.
