How To Get Free Delivery On Online Christmas Shopping

The smartest way to do your Christmas shopping is to order everything online; especially if you despise crowds. The only downside are those damn delivery fees.

Fortunately, it’s possible to avoid shipping costs entirely by choosing the right retailers and employing this simple hack.

We spotted this suggestion over on Finder and it’s a goodie. To get free shipping, simply join Australia Post’s Shipster service which provides free delivery for purchases over $25. (In other words, cheapskates who only want to buy a pair of socks are still out of luck – sorry.)

Shipster works by linking your MyPost account to whichever email you use to make online purchases. The whole thing is automated, with delivery fees waived during the checkout process.

The service currently boasts over 50 Australian retail partners, including Booktopia, Harvey Norman, Kogan, Myers, Target and Toys R Us. Yes, it’s not comprehensive – and obviously won’t work with overseas purchases – but if you’re planning to shop at one of the 50+ stores that support the service, you’re in luck.

Normally the service costs $6.95 per month, but you can currently sign up for a free two-month trial. Jump to it!
