Firefox 9 For Android Adds Tablet Support

Android: If you’ve got an Android tablet, you’re going to want to give the latest mobile version of Firefox a try. It sports an all-new tablet-friendly interface, it feels pretty fast, and it gives you the extensions and customisation you’ve come to expect from Firefox.

Those running Firefox on their Android smartphones won’t notice much change with this update, save some snappier start-up speeds, but tablet users get a whole new interface to try out. Personally, I like it better than the default Android tablet browser, after just about 20 minutes of testing. There’s a really handy “Save as PDF” option in the Menu button, and a handy batch of add-ons to try out.

Firefox 9 for Android is a free download in the Android Market.
