Opera Adds Mobile Store To Mobile Browser

If you use Opera as your browser of choice on your mobile device, you can now use it to access the Opera Mobile Store, which customises itself to offer apps (paid and free) based on your phone OS and location. The system currently works for Android, BlackBerry, Symbian and Java-based OSes.

Opera Mobile is a pretty good browser, but there’s a powerful disincentive to use it (or the store) if you’re a BlackBerry type like me: most BlackBerry plans offer free unlimited browsing, but only if you use the built-in native browser. If you’re rocking Android or Symbian, it could be an interesting alternate route into finding new apps.
