Google Maps Now Lets You Organise Your Favourite Places Into Shareable Lists

If you wanted to save a location in Google Maps, for years your only option was to add a little star icon. Google’s improving this process now by letting you add places to custom lists.

In the new Google Maps, the star icon has now been changed to a Save button. You can still find all your favourite places in a list called Starred Places. From now on, you can also add places to your own lists. Google already gives you lists called Favourites, Want to Go, and Restaurants, but you can add your own lists as well. You can even share the lists you’ve created by tapping the share button.

The update is currently rolling out, though users who qualify as Local Guides in Google Maps may have already noticed these features. Google’s been testing lists out for about six months, but it’s finally ready to share them with everyone.
