Motorola Defy On Sale Through Telstra From November 30

The Motorola Defy — a weatherproof phone for outdoorsy types — ticks most of the Android boxes that matter at Lifehacker. Australian release? Yep. Outright buy price? Yep ($600). Latest Android release? Big fat no, alas. But at least it’s running 2.1.

Telstra has the initial local exclusive on the Defy, and will begin selling it from November 30. On a 24-month contract for $49 a month, you’ll get the usual inclusions: 1GB of data a month, $400 in call credits and a two-year total price of $1176. Our sibling site Gizmodo has the specs if you want more detail.
