Make Your iPhone X ‘See-Through’ With These Wallpapers

iOS: Last week, we got a look under the iPhone X‘s hood, revealing a pair of batteries and a few other surprises. But if you don’t feel like opening up your shiny new smartphone you can still see what’s happening behind the screen, thanks to a fresh wallpaper from the teardown experts at iFixit.

How to Get a See-Through iPhone X Wallpaper

X-ray style iPhone X wallpaper

All you need to do to setup the new wallpaper is open iFixit’s blog post on your iPhone and scroll down to the image you want. There’s a regular photo of all the hardware under the display or an X-ray style image to choose from.

Then tap on the photo to see it at full resolution and save it to your phone. Next, go into your iPhone’s settings, select Wallpapers, and then Choose a New Wallpaper. One of the options will be your recent photos, where you’ll find the image you just downloaded.

Apple offers two styles for every wallpapers: Still or Perspective. The first acts like a regular wallpaper while the second moves slightly when you tilt the iPhone for effect. Both work fine for these wallpapers, but iFixit recommends the Still version.

Finally, set the new wallpaper as your lock screen (it won’t really work as your home screen if it’s covered in app icons). Now see if you can trick a friend into thinking you actually have a transparent iPhone X.
