Everything Coming To Netflix, Stan, Foxtel And Amazon This November

Neither Stan nor the Australian Netflix library has anything near the range of US streaming services, every month we get just a little more. Read on to see all the content that will be added to their libraries in November.


Netflix’s November lineup is headlined by The Punisher – the latest instalment in its popular Marvel superhero series. Other highlights include new episodes of Riverdale, a TV show adaptation of Spike Lee’s She’s Gotta Have It and Disney’s Beauty and the Beast.

Weekly instalments of Riverdale and Star Trek: Discovery will also continue in November. Oh, and Stranger Things Season 2 DROPPED THIS WEEK! (Yes, we realise that was October, but we’re too hyped not to mention it.)

Stranger Things: Season 2

Stan is continuing to air new episodes of Phillip K. Dick’s Electric Dreams anthology this month. It has also acquired every episode of cult TV Show Veronica Mars. Other highlights include Stan Original series No Activity, season 2 of Steven Soderbergh’s The Girlfriend Experience and SMILF.

Phillip K. Dick’s Electric Dreams: Season 1:

A sci-fi anthology series with stand-alone episodes based on the works of Phillip K. Dick. [clear]

No Activity:

Stan’s very first Original Series is going Stateside, with the help of executive producers Will Ferrell, Adam McKay and Funny Or Die, for a fresh spin on an Australian comedy classic that celebrates the mundane. [clear]

The Girlfriend Experience season 2:

The ground-breaking series from Executive Producer Steven Soderbergh returns, exploring the relationships between exclusive escorts and their clients. [clear]


Based on her Sundance Film Festival Jury Award-winning short film of the same name, SMILF creator, writer and director Frankie Shaw also stars in the semi-autobiographical role of Brigitte Bird, a smart, scrappy, young single mum trying to navigate life in South Boston with an extremely unconventional family. Amazon Prime Video

Amazon Prime Video is finally available in Australia, and this month we’re getting a couple of new original shows for the service.

Marvelous Mrs Maisel:

From the Creator of Gilmore Girls, ‘The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel’ tells the story of Miriam “Midge” Maisel a woman who has everything she’s ever wanted—the perfect husband, two kids, and an elegant Upper West Side apartment. But her perfect life suddenly takes an unexpected turn and Midge discovers a previously unknown talent—one that changes her life forever.

The Climb:

From creator and star Diarra Kilpatrick and The Mark Gordon Company comes a comedy about the new American Dream set against the backdrop of a rapidly changing Detroit. The Climb follows an office assistant who seeks an extraordinary life through internet fame, with her best friend always in tow. Chris Robinson directed the pilot and Christina Lee served as show runner on the pilot episode.

Love You More

Karen Best is a big girl with a big personality and a big love of chardonnay, which occasionally, causes her to make some big mistakes with men. But the biggest thing about Karen is her big heart, which she uses to excel at her job as a counsellor at an independent living residence for young adults with Down syndrome. And sometimes, Karen’s need to stand up for all the little people in life manifests into a fantasy rock music number, where we discover she also has a big and beautiful voice.

Sea Oak

Aunt Bernie, a working-class woman in a Rust Belt city (meek, unmarried, no kids) dies tragically in a home invasion. Compelled by sheer force of dissatisfaction, she comes back from the dead full of rage, determined to get the life she never had. She proceeds to inflict a range of demands on what’s left of her nuclear family (a quasi-stripper nephew and two feckless nieces), who live in a low-end subsidised hellhole of a housing complex called Sea Oak.


Foxtel’s October schedule continues the latest seasons of your favourite shows, from The Walking Dead to Curb Your Enthusiasm, streamed as episodes air weekly. New movie highlights include Logan, T2 Trainspotting and a slew of Disney animation and DC films.
