Crispy fried tofu has some of the best contrasting textures of any food out there. The crispy outside gives way to the soft, succulent tofu inside. Instead of deep frying or stir frying it, you can crisp it up nicely with a waffle iron.
Daniel Shumski, author of Will It Waffle? and contributor at food blog Serious Eats, explains a method of crisping up your tofu without having to break out the oil. Get some firm or extra-firm tofu for your waffling and you’re all set. You may have experiment to find the perfect amount of waffling time, but once it’s ready, just chop it up and serve with your dish. No mess and much shorter prep and cooking time.

I would assume a jaffle iron would do the same thing.
I might try this out on the weekend.
I don’t avoid tofu but I don’t ask for it.
I don’t understand the allure of it.
I wouldn’t say it’s tasteless, but it doesn’t seem to add anything to what I am eating when it’s included.
How have you eaten it?
My kids love it, we often steam it with a bit of soysauce.
you have to treat it like pasta. just like no one eats pasta by it self
