  • Have you ever wished your girlfriend could cuddle you from behind when she's not with you (or indeed, doesn't exist)? Students from Tsukuba University in Japan have developed an item of clothing that simulates the embrace of a loved one. The 'Fulfillment Coat' comes with two inbuilt robotic pincers that are controlled via a USB connection. It even provides the wearer with a series of pre-recorded endearments from Japanese cosplayer Yu Shimotsuki. Check out the video here.

  • We speculated on whether Australia would get the 8-core Exynos version of the Samsung Galaxy S4 smartphone in our coverage of the launch. Samsung has now confirmed the bad news: "The Samsung GALAXY S 4 will be available in Australia with the Quad-core 1.9 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon Series 600 processor and 4G LTE compatibility." On the plus side, the company also announced that the beefier eight core version would be 3G only.

Just for the record, I as a conscientious shopper strictly must buy anything shown like in the articles feature image.

Literally today it was revealed that Dominoes is the worst fast-food outlet in terms of food violations (both outright and per number of premises). Having worked at a Pizza Hut, which was three or four down, that scares the shit out of me.

Link? I work at Dominos, nothing bad behind the scenes at my store.

I worked at Dominos too, our manager was bordering on ridiculous with how clean/proper everything had to be. That said, since then I have noticed a lot of other Dominos wouldn't come close to her standards..

Sounds exactly like my boss haha! Totally agree though, two of the other stores in our area are consistently failing OER. They're in for a rough time.

        As reported in the SMH:

Doesn't surprise me. Having worked at several Pizza Huts, a Dominoes and a local non-franchise store back in the day, some of the Pizza Huts were pretty disgusting (Ashgrove QLD - shame shame shame) but Dominoes really took the proverbial urinal cake. It didn't help that their employment conditions were also by far the worst of the three (lowest pay and highest expectation of everyone doing everything) ensuring the workers were consistently the unhappiest and cared the least.

I really think it would depend a lot on the manager, I must admit that the awful pay used to piss me off but with a good manager you're still not going to get away with being unhygienic. I have a few friends who worked at Macca's back in school and the stories I've heard from there were terrible (frozen rats in the freezer room, etc), though the worst I have ever encountered was back when I was 17 or 18 and did a week at the Royal Show. Some health inspectors came to do random tests on some of the food caravans and a dead cat was found in the deep fryer of one of them. Apparently it'd be preserved in there and no one could even tell how long it'd been there, no one in the caravan ever remembered the oil having been changed.

Last time I ever got a dagwood dog from the show..

I had Dominos yesterday, kitchen was spotless. Last time I went to pizza hut the guy handed me my change with a hand dripping with grease.

Doesn't prove anything of course, just my experience.
