Next For JB Hi-Fi NOW: Windows Phone 7

JB Hi-Fi only just released the Android and iOS apps for its JB Hi-Fi NOW music streaming service, but the retailer isn't quite done with its digital music ambitions. Next on its development hitlist: Windows Phone 7.

In its quarterly market results update, JB Hi-Fi confirmed that a Windows Phone 7 app was imminent:

JB Hi-Fi NOW, JB Hi-Fi's digital content delivery platform, continues to gain traction with the launch in April of JB Hi-Fi Now's digital music streaming service mobile apps for both Apple iOS and Android devices with an app for Windows devices to follow shortly. JB Hi-Fi will continue to evolve the NOW platform to innovate and capture new markets.

Right now I can't see that move massively increasing its market share, but I bet Nokia are grateful.

"Windows devices" do you suppose its just not wp7? curious.

I'm sure that they mean Windows Phone. Their service does not require a Windows app really, unless they are referring to Windows 8/RT. Hmmm.
