Add A Pulley To Your Hammock To Create A Convertible Sunshade

Hammocks are a backyard mainstay in the summer, but they take up a lot of room. IKEA Hacker user Vincent Royer has a simple solution, turn your hammock into a sunshade when not in use.

Using an IKEA DYNING Hammock, Royer attached a pulley system to his house and roped it through the hammock to create a simple sunshade. While this method is contingent on a full pulley system and a particular style of hammock, the idea should transfer over to a variety of a different models. Head over to IKEA Hackers for a full tutorial on how it works.
