Evernote is a nifty place to stash notes, images and other information for retrieving later. But you might know just how advanced you can get in searching and retrieving. Altitude-based searching? Handwritten notes only? Yep and yep, and much more.
The CyberNet News blog takes Evernote’s API details and transforms them into actual human language, so you can see just how advanced Evernote’s search capabilities are. If you enter notes into Evernote from multiple sources, for example, you can narrow down a search to the specific source they came from:
- source:web.clip
Matches notes that were locally clipped from a web page- source:mail.clip
Matches notes that were clipped from a local mail client- source:mail.smtp
Matches notes that were delivered to the service via the email gateway.- source:mobile.*
Matches notes that were created on a mobile client of some form
