Netflix Adds Offline Viewing For Phones And Tablets

Netflix Adds Offline Viewing For Phones And Tablets

Android/iOS: Starting today, Netflix will let you download select shows so that you can watch offline. That means you can queue up your favourite shows to watch while you’re travelling or don’t want to use up your data plan.

Not all shows on Netflix are available to download but there are plenty, with an apparent emphasis on their original programs like Stranger Things, Orange is the New Black and The Crown. In the Android and iOS apps all you have to do is find your desired show and look for the new download button, and you can manage your downloaded programs in a new “My Downloads” section in the app. The feature is available today on all Netflix plans.
