A new computer can sometimes take hours to set up. If you’re a developer, Lapwing Laps has a guide to automate the whole process, including setting up special default settings.
The bulk of the guide uses Homebrew to snag software, but from there it also walks you through restoring configurations from other computers, and includes a handy script to customise your Mac so it works a little better.
You’ll need to go through and set up these scripts to suit your needs, but it’s a good starting point if you want to make setting up a new Mac a little easier.
