Turn IKEA Spice Racks Into Children’s Bookshelves

Kids love to pick their favourite books from the shelves, but that can be tricky when they can’t read and all that’s on display is the spine. This clever hack converts the $2.49 Bekvam spice rack into a child-friendly display shelf.

Literally all you need to do is mount the racks on the wall, appropriately spaced — given the small amount of weight they’ll bear, you could probably get away with Command fixings if you don’t want to wield a drill.

    Personally I don’t think it’s a bad idea for adults either. The trouble with storing stuff efficiently sometimes is that it feels a bit out of sight out of mind… Or maybe that’s just me.
