Whether you love or hate McDonald’s, it can’t be denied that its cheeseburger buns are pretty damn delicious. Sinfully soft and lightly caramelised, they arguably have more in common with a dessert than a burger. Well, it appears the chefs at McDonald’s are in agreement: feast your eyes on the Nutella Sweety burger. Good lord.
The McDonald’s Nutella Sweety burger does exactly what it says on the tin: it’s a burger bun filled with creamy hazelnut cocoa spread in place of a meat patty. It’s an affront to society and we’re desperate to try one.
Unfortunately, the Nutella Sweety is currently only available in Italy. (Boo!) Here’s the slightly dodgy Google translation from McDonald’s Italian Facebook page:
A soft sweetness has arrived that you will not be able to resist. Try Sweety with Nutella now: soft bread with a creamy, indulgent center!
Hopefully, McDonald’s Australia is taking note of the phenomenal ‘reach’ and ‘traction’ this product is getting on social media. Surely it wouldn’t be too hard to manufacture the Sweety locally?
In the meantime, you can always make you own by buying a plain hamburger sans sauce, scoffing the beef patty and adding your own condiment in the form of Nutella straight out of the jar. We feel a taste test coming on…
