Be The Hero Who Brings Serving Utensils To Your Holiday Party

Unless you are hosting a party these holidays, you are most likely going to be a guest in someone’s home, and you should bring something to share with the host and other guests. Sides, desserts and alcohol are all obviously good choices, but a real hero brings serving utensils.

They may not sound particularly exciting, but serving utensils are one of the most thoughtful things you can bring to a holiday party. Even the most enthusiastic home cooks rarely serve meals that require more than two or three serving spoons, so it’s unlikely their kitchen is stocked with the large format cutlery required for larger party groups. Though you might not be providing a dish, you can still contribute with a couple of serving spoons, and maybe a big ol’ fork or cake server.

If you are bringing a side or dessert, grab the appropriate utensil for whatever dish you’re bringing, then grab an extra, because someone is going to forget their scoop, spatula or salad tongs. Your host will greatly appreciate your initiative, and will most like reward you with the drumstick, or maybe an extra slice of cake.
