What’s Coming And Going From US Netflix In August 2019

GLOW IS BACK and they’re in VEGAS and let’s hope this show continues being a heartwarming dramedy where nothing truly terrible happens. Dear White People, Derry Girls, She-Ra, and Mindhunter are back too. And there’s a new prequel to Dark Crystal. Here’s what else is coming and going on US Netflix in August.

Marlon Wayans is sextuplets this month. Tiffany Haddish and Simon Amstell have comedy specials. New documentaries include anime filmmaker interviews on Enter the Anime, and an investigation of the powerful Christian fundamentalist organisation The Fellowship in The Family.

Jane the Virgin season 5 comes to Netflix this month, as do all the Rocky movies, Jackie Brown, Groundhog Day, Four Weddings and a Funeral, Gangs of New York, and To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything! Julie Newmar.

After August 1 there’s no more Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Hot Fuzz, Hairspray (both versions), Scarface, Fifth Element, Hurt Locker, The Master, Poltergeist, or Zombieland. Zodiac, The 40-Year-Old Virgin, and No Country for Old Men leave a few days later. So does The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy but you should read the books instead.
