State Of Origin 2018: Watch The Live Stream Here!

Below is everything you need to know about watching this year's State Of Origin - including streaming tips, where to buy tickets and the players on each team.

When is the State Of Origin on?

The third game in the series kicks off at Suncorp Stadium on July 11, 8pm (AEST).

How to watch State Of Origin on free-to-air TV

The State Of Origin series will be broadcast live on Channel Nine. The actual kick-off is scheduled for around 8pm with coverage beginning at 7:30pm.

How to watch State Of Origin online

Previously, the easiest way to watch State Of Origin online was to purchase an NRL Live Pass from Telstra for $3.99. However, this year's pass does not include live streaming of State of Origin. Boo!

The good news is that Nine's free 9Now web app will be providing a live stream of all three State Of Origin games. Hurrah!

Nine will offer a total of five separate streams that viewers can swap between. These range from a spider cam to a 'player cam' focused on one team only. Naturally, you can also stick to Main coverage if you prefer.

Click here to bookmark the live feed. If you're watching on a phone or tablet, you can also get the mobile-optimized version for iOS and Android.

Alternatively, you can sign up to the official WatchNRL app with a VPN. This provides live coverage to "overseas" users - although with prices starting at $19 for one week, you need to be a fan of the NRL to make it worthwhile.

How to watch State Of Origin on Foxtel

Fox Sports won't be showing the match live, although you can watch 9HD's coverage through the service if you want. Repeats of the game will be broadcast on Foxtel Sport throughout the week.

How to watch State Of Origin at the pub

If you want to enjoy the atmosphere of a live crowd without paying for stadium seating, a local sports pub is a pretty good bet. Here is a list of venues that will be showing the live broadcast on big screen TVs. (Type in your postcode to find the closest venue to your location.)

How To Watch State Of Origin If You're Stuck Overseas

Unfortunately, the aforementioned 9Now app is region locked and won't be accessible for users that are not located in Australia. Your best bet is to sign up for a virtual private network (VPN) which will hide the location of your computer and mobile devices.

If you can't be arsed getting a VPN, the aforementioned WatchNRL app is probably your best bet. Alternatively, do some googling to find a sports bar equipped with satellite TV and inquire whether they will be showing the match live. Good luck!

Alternatively, you can sign up to Foxtel's WatchNRL app which does provide live coverage - although with prices starting at $19 for one week, you'd need to be a really big fan of Foxtel's commentary.
@chrisjager You've got this all wrong. WatchNRL is for people overseas. I doesn't actually work in Australia. I know, because I pay to use it from the US, and was locked out when I visited Sydney recently! So you need to remove it from this section, and actually add it under the How To Watch State Of Origin If You're Stuck Overseas instead. And in terms of watching it free, I believe there's a free trial period of 1 or 2 weeks (there was when I signed up). Check it out, but it may be long enough to watch 2 of the 3 matches for free?

I should have explained you need a VPN - have now cleaned this up. Thanks!

chris i think Covurage start at 7pm
