This morning Elon Musk launched a Tesla Roadster into space using the Falcon Heavy rocket. A dummy driver named “Starman” wearing a SpaceX spacesuit pilots the car, as it speeds towards Mars to gather information about its orbit.

In the footage, it’s easy to see the curvature of the Earth.

And it’s sparking a fight on Twitter about flat Earth theory.

There are many people (including doctors) who believe that the Earth is flat.

Many phenomenon prove that flat Earth theory is wrong, including the presence of gravity.

    There isnt a debate

Debate means both sides are equal

    Earth is not flat.

    End of story.

    Flat Earthers are morons

And, for the most part Americans.

No way could a flat earther really think they made it all in CGI but then just forgot to add stars in the background...

Finally, an answer to the age old question of whether a joke can really be taken too far.

If the earth is flat, why cant I use my telescope at Sydney Head and see New Zealand?????

I do wonder how many flat earthers are flat earthers and how many are trolls.
