The Primetime Emmy Awards are a chore to sit through – who wants to watch overpaid actors indulge in three hours of narcissistic back-slapping and tedious speeches punctuated with occasional, highly cliched political grandstanding? Fire the whole thing into the sun, that’s what we say.
On the other hand, the results do provide a handy shortlist of all the shows you haven’t got around to watching yet. Here are the winners from the 71st Primetime Emmy Awards – and where you can watch them in Australia.
When it comes to catching Emmy award winners, Foxtel Now is your best bet. (This is unsurprising when you consider a Foxtel subscription is the only legal way to access HBO content in Australia.) With that said, Netflix, Stan and Amazon Prime Video also have a decent lineup of Emmy nominated shows.
Interestingly, a handful of shows aren’t available on any of Australia’s major streaming subscription services – instead, you’ll need to rent or purchase them through iTunes or the Google Play Store.
Without further ado, here’s the full list! (We’ve highlighted our personal recommendations in bold.)
