Make Your Mornings Extra Delicious With Apple Pie Toast

Butter and jam are great and all, but if you want to start your morning in a truly tasty manner, I suggest trying out a little thing known as “apple pie toast”.

To get really good toast everyday without wasting a single crumb, slice, then freeze a fresh, whole loaf.”]

It’s a pretty straightforward concept, and frankly I’m quite surprised I hadn’t thought of it already. The link below has all the tasty details, but you’ll essentially be making a jammy, delicious pie filling with three Granny Smiths and three Honeycrisps. Toss the sliced apples with sugar, cinnamon, cornflour and a big ol’ pinch of salt and dump everything into an oven-safe dish. Pop the whole thing in a 175C oven for about half an hour, until the apples are nice and soft (like pie filling). Spread it on a piece of excellent toast, and start your day on a warm and comforting note.
