Make Your Home Smell Amazing With A Baked Air Freshener Made From Scraps

There are a ton of products that can fight odours and freshen up your place, but you can also make your own pretty easily. This DIY baked air freshener smells great, is easy to make and uses up leftovers.

As Laurie Siegel at Apartment Therapy explains, all you need is some type of dried, sweet-smelling spice — like cinnamon, nutmeg or dried vanilla powder — a little oil, and some inedible scraps from your favourite fruit. Place the scraps on a piece of wax paper, tin foil or a small ramekin; add the oil; then add the spice and bake it all in the oven at 90C. The pleasant smell should last for a couple of hours.

You can take this freshening power to any room of the house with nothing more than a crockpot and water.”]
