Keep A Running List Of Everything You Don’t Buy

It’s really easy to buy all kinds of junk online or in the store without much thought. But a little training can change that. Over on SwissMiss, Tina Eisenberg started keeping a list of all the stuff she didn’t buy.

We’ve all had those moments where we’ve loaded up a shopping cart, stared at it for a while, then decided at the last moment not to buy anything. Whether it was for financial reasons, you decided to do more research or you just realised you didn’t need something, it’s a weirdly cathartic moment. Eisenberg started tracking those things in a “I didn’t buy” list as a reminder of all the money she saved. It’s an interesting little experiment, and one that’s sure to reveal something about yourself that you might not realise.
