Tomatoes aren't the most hardy fruit/vegetable after picking, and when they start to fade and wrinkle up, you have to use them fast. If you have a tomato on the verge of turning, here's an easy way to transform them into a versatile topping you can add to almost any dish.

Cut your tomatoes in half, put them open side up on a baking sheet, and season with salt. Bake on low for several hours until the tomato halves have turned into chips.
