PayPal 6.0 Brings A New Design, Makes Sending And Requesting Money Easier

Android/iOS: PayPal is a great way to send and receive money from people, which makes it pretty silly that its app buries the feature behind layers of dumb menus. The latest update to PayPal fixes all that.

As avid users of PayPal are likely aware, the previous version of the app opened on a rather useless Shop screen that tried to push various “offers” on you for some reason. You couldn’t even see your balance immediately without jumping to a separate section of the app. For an app that functions mostly like a bank, it was clumsily unfocused on what its users needed.

The new 6.0 version of the app changes things with a brand new interface. Now, when you log in, you’ll be greeted with your PayPal balance up top, followed by two big buttons for sending and requesting money. You can also find a quick link to your PayPal.me page in the app’s settings. Interface designs aren’t always something special, but if you’ve found PayPal frustratingly obtuse for the things you might actually need it for, the new version may be a lot better for you.
