Twitter Now Syncs Your Direct Messages Across Multiple Platforms

Twitter’s direct messages are useful for private communication, but they’re difficult to track if you use Twitter on multiple platforms. A new update means direct messages now sync across Android, iOS, Tweetdeck, Mac and Twitter’s web and mobile sites, ensuring a message you’ve already read on the desktop doesn’t show up as unread on your phone.

Twitter announced the update today; to access the feature, you’ll need to ensure you’ve downloaded the latest app for the relevant platform. That’s good news for frequent DM users (and one more challenge for IT managers trying to ensure Twitter isn’t used to leak confidential information).
