Repurpose A Folding Table As A Standing Desk

It’s no secret that sitting is bad for you, but that doesn’t mean you magically have the space in your home to build a standing desk. If you want a standing desk, blogger Josh Earl shows off his collapsible version built from an IKEA table and a few extra parts.

Earl’s desk is made from an IKEA wall-mounted drop leaf folding table and reinforced with a few wood screws. He also added in a cheap desk grommet to keep the cables organised. The end result is a nice-looking standing desk that doesn’t take up much space and can be folded down when not in use. Check out Earl’s post for a breakdown of the parts and a set of installation instructions.
