Pillboxie Elegantly Reminds You That It’s Time To Take Your Medication

iOS: Pillboxie is a surprisingly elegant app that reminds you when it’s time to take your medication. It’s incredibly thorough, has a great interface, and it somehow makes the process of scheduling your medicine fun.

Putting together your schedule is ridiculously easy and kind of fun to do: you create a new medication, name it, and customise the interface by filling out other bits of information. For example, you can tell Pillboxie the colour and type of medication you’re adding, and it alters the bottle and appearance of the pill. When you schedule it, you find a time during the day and/or week and tap it. This opens a pill container, and you get to drag your pill inside of it. Pillboxie essentially takes what would otherwise be a boring and tedious task and turns it into something that’s kind of fun. When you’ve scheduled all your meds, you can be reminded by a pop-up window or a Notification Center banner. If you need medication reminders and you want your smartphone to do it, Pillboxie is the way to go.
