Keep Weights By Your Computer For A Quick Workout While Watching YouTube

We know that sitting at your desk all day is bad for you. If you’re worried your desk job might also be causing your muscles to weaken, Reddit user QuitetheCharacter suggests keeping small dumbbells by your computer to maximise your downtime.

The suggestion is as simple as they come, but it’s still a great way to use those moments when you’re not typing or clicking your mouse for more productive means. Doing a few reps while watching videos or reading long articles is also a great way to time your mini-workout. It is important to set your chair at the correct ergonomic height with your knees at a 90 degree angle if you take this approach because there is a risk of harming your back if you’re not situated properly.

It’s not going to reverse the harmful effects of sitting all day long, but it will at least keep your arms from shrinking. You can also do a few simple exercises and stretches to help alleviate the problems associated with sitting.
