Make Cookies From Cake Mix

If you’ve had an unused box of cake mix in your cupboard for a while, you can turn it into a batch of cookie dough by adding two eggs, half a cup of melted butter and any additions (chocolate chips, raisins, etc.) you’d like.

This tip comes from the blog Secret Tips from the Yumiverse, and is a great way to use up cake mix you’ve had since the Howard government. Simply preheat your oven to 175 degrees Celsius, combine the above ingredients with your packaged cake mix while stirring thoroughly, spoon the cookies onto an ungreased cookie sheet and bake for 8-10 minutes.

The cookies turn out as a cookie-brownie cross. By getting creative with extra ingredients you can turn plain yellow cake mix into a variety of cookie types. Personally, I want to try this out with chocolate cake mix and frost the finished cookies with German Chocolate frosting.
