Evoz Turns Your iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad Into A Baby Monitor

iOS: Evoz is a free app for iPhone, iPod touch and iPad that replaces yesterday’s limited-range baby monitors with your Apple devices so you can listen to your baby wherever you may be (away from your baby).

You’ll need two iOS devices to install Evoz: one to be the receiver and the other as the monitor. Evoz is the first monitor with no range limit — so you can hear your baby from anywhere your smartphone has a reception (3G or Wi-Fi). When your baby cries, Evoz will alert you with a text, email or phone call.

It’s a great solution for people who have to be far away from their babies due to work travel or other reasons or want to listen in from way out in the backyard. The app also keeps a neat record of your baby’s crying and sleep data so you can get all crazy about hacking his or her sleep — new parents’ most pressing goal.

Evoz comes fully featured for two weeks; after that you can continue listening in on your baby for 30 minutes a day for free. Unlimited listening in, alerts and data require a premium plan (from $4.49 a month; daily and yearly options available).
