FontViewOK Previews Fonts Side-By-Side For Easy Picking

Windows: One of the problems with selecting the best font for your message is most programs only allow you to see your copy in the selected font one at a time. Freeware program FontViewOK helps you compare your options very easily.

In FontViewOK’s simple interface, enter in your custom copy to preview it across your various installed fonts. You can change the styling of the fonts (bold, italic, underline), colour and background colour. Although it works as a straight-up font previewer, FontViewOK’s best feature is the split side-by-side view, so you can avoid the problem of trying to remember previous font selections. FontViewOK can also print your font lists, show you a print preview, and link to related searches for your selected fonts.

It’s a bit like awesome web tool Typetester, which we mentioned in our roundup of killer typography tools and free font downloads, except FontViewOK works with all the fonts on your system and is a lightweight executable for Windows (no installation needed; it can be run from a thumb drive). As such, it’s a great tool for helping you find the right font for the job very quickly.
