webOS: Palm Pre and Pixi users have no doubt felt some frustration trying to get additional functionality out of webOS’s built-in Music Player. Music Player (Remix) 2.0 is a free music player for webOS that’s rich in features and functionality.
The most notable features include:
- Type-to-search for songs, artists or albums
- One-touch ability to keep the screen on
- The ability to create “flylists,” playlists built on the fly
- Pin favourite songs, albums, artists, genres, playlists, or flylists to the home screen for quick play access
- Finger-friendly buttons and scrubber bar
- Swipe to preview songs and queue next track
- One-touch to access lyrics while your track is playing
- Lots of functionality still available while the player is minimized
Music Player (Remix) 2.0 Beta is compatible with webOS 2.x and above. While currently a free download, it has plans to hit the App Catalog in the near future. As with all Homebrew webOS apps, you’ll need to install Preware on your device first.
