Seven Catch-Up TV Site Now Live

As promised, Seven has rolled out a site offering catch-up viewing for many (though not all) of its programming for viewers who miss the live transmission. The site is branded PLUS7, and includes a handful of ads sprinkled through each program.

That’s neither unexpected nor unreasonable, and the site is offering sneak peeks of some shows (such as Cougar Town) which haven’t yet made their on-air debut. The biggest potential roadblock for the service as it stands is that (unlike the ABC’s iView) there aren’t any unmetered content deals in place, so a daily Home & Away addiction might do evil things to your monthly download cap.

As luck would have it, I’m in Wellington this week, so I can’t test the service directly. If you give it a whirl, let us know how well it works in the comments.
