Exercising is tough enough as it is, and it’s even harder if you’re making a lot of mistakes. The Greatist tackles a few of the biggest mistakes we tend to make, including random workouts and a lack of a routine.

A routine is important to help you keep yourself on track, but as The Greatist points out, it’s also there so you learn exercises correctly and do programs that actually work. If you find yourself working out in a random order, then it’s probably time to step back, pick a program that works and stick to it.
