As it turns out, it doesn't matter much how you change it up as long as you change something in your routine. The Greatist has a ton of suggestions ranging from changing your moves to switching the order of your workout. One of the most interesting and simple implementations is to change your rest period in between sets. For instance, if you usually rest for 60 seconds you can add or subtract a little from that number to increase your muscle endurance.
