Certain glass products have a tendency to shatter into a billion little pieces that can easily cut someone when they get dropped or knocked down. Don’t let that happen! Instead of waiting for those tiny shards of glass to find their way into your foot, try this trick instead.
Start by going over the area with a vacuum or broom. That will get most of the big pieces, but you won’t be able to get all of them that way no matter how hard you try. That’s why redditor hilarymeggin suggests you grab a flashlight:
When cleaning up broken glass, after you get all the pieces you can see, turn off the overhead light, put a flashlight on the floor, and look for sparkles… Try it from different directions too. I just did this with an ornament my daughter broke, and found six more shards embedded in the rug after I thought I had vacuumed up everything.
Locate those sparkles and clear them out. You might be surprised how many shards will still be around. This extra step will allow you and your loved ones to walk around barefoot with impunity. Hurrah!

I’d say that technique works 99% of the time.
For the other 1%, simply walk around with bare feet. The glass will be attracted to your foot like a magnet to metal. 😛
