Here’s a fun variation on side lunges. The Cossack goblet squat challenges you to balance on one leg while pivoting the other so your toes face up. It’s a great workout for the muscles along the outside of your hip…okay, all your leg muscles really.
You can do it continuously from side to side, as shown here, or stand up in between reps to slow your pace down a bit. The motion is basically a side lunge, but requires a little more coordination. I also found myself going lower in the squat with this motion than I would typically do in a side lunge.
