Eliminate The ‘What Do You Wanna Do?’ Debate With An Activities Spreadsheet

We’ve all been trapped in that vicious cycle: “What do you want to do tonight?” “I dunno, what do you wanna do?” It’s frustrating. Keep an always up to date list of potential activities so you spend time doing fun things instead of just talking about them.

Whenever I hear about a fun activity, I add it to my spreadsheet (template below). Then, the next time I’m making plans with friends or need a date night idea, I pull up my spreadsheet. I divide activities by when they can be done (day, night, or anytime) so that I can easily find activities that will fit my schedule. For example, a friend recently mentioned how they took the ferry to Angel Island and hiked around it. I thought that sounded like a great day trip, so I added it to the “Day” tab. Start your own list of activities so you’re ready next time someone asks, “What do you want to do?”
