  • Digital music service Rdio has revamped its stations feature. “In the left-hand navigation, click Stations to find new station types like popular genre stations and You FM — a station comprised of artists and songs inspired by your taste in music,” the company explained.
  • In 2007, China began developing a replica of Paris, with the intention of housing around 10,000 people. Today, the town’s population hits somewhere around 2000 — and those are mostly people working on the French-themed village park next door. You can see a video of the sadly underpopulated town here.

  • I count myself as something of an authority when it comes to scary robots. Examples to instill terror include the Kansei human emotion robot, the Geminoid DK, CB2 and this nameless, singing monstrosity from Hell. The latest robotic nightmare to join their ranks takes things even further by using slime mould to control its face. “Electrical signals produced when a yellow slime mould moves eagerly towards food or is repulsed by light are used to power a human-like robot face,” the video explains.
