Make Ice Blocks Easier To Open By Storing Them Vertically

Those long and skinny ice blocks we all ate as kids aren’t the hardest things to open (toy packaging probably earns that title), but they sure could be easier to open than the traditional method of gnawing off the plastic. Reddit member postnick suggests this easy trick: store the ice blocks vertically instead of on their sides.

This creates an air bubble at the top that will make opening the freezer pops easier — you can just peel the top. Redditor chris_fish offers an alternative method of snapping the ice blocks in half. This is surprisingly easy to do (I have two halves of an ice block to prove it.)

Whichever method you choose, enjoy faster access to that frozen treat.
