JB Hi-Fi Mobile Deal: 50GB For $45 (Plus A Free $200 Gift Card!)

JB Hi-Fi Mobile probably isn't the first name you think of when it comes to phone plans, but that could soon be set to change. For a limited time, the retailer is offering a beefy 50GB SIM-only plan for just $45 a month. The deal also comes with a free $200 gift card! Here are the details.

JB Hi-Fi has launched two new SIM-only plans on its Telstra-powered network. (Note: JB Hi-Fi Mobile uses the full Telstra network as opposed to a wholesale network which should translate to similar speeds and coverage.)

Both plans are on a 12-month contract which unfortunately means you can't cancel at any time. However, JB Hi-Fi is throwing in a gift card valued at up to $300 for your troubles. Noice!

The standout here is the aforementioned $45 plan. That's a significantly better deal than Telstra's own $50 offering, which only comes with 15GB of data per month.

There's also a $65 option which ups the data to 60GB per month. That's actually $5 more expensive than Telstra charges for the same data, so you should probably steer clear of this one unless you really want a JB Hi-Fi gift card.

Here are the inclusions for each plan. (Click on the interactive table below to learn more.)

Both plans come bundled with free access to Telstra Air, $10 of data roaming per day and data-free Apple Music. (Note: Existing Boost and Telstra Pre-Paid customers switching to JB Hi-Fi don’t receive a Gift Card, unfortunately.)

What You Need To Know About JB Hi-Fi's New Mobile Plans

Yesterday, JB Hi-Fi snatched the crown for Australia's stealthiest mobile plan launch, releasing two BYO offers with nary a whisper. Only available in-store, you won't find mention of them anywhere on JB's website. You can, however, read about them right here.

This plan has been around for over a year, its only advertised in store.
If you are already with telstra/subsiduary and you want the gift card, port out to optus pre-paid and then wander into store.

Quite a fair plan- a good deal indeed.

Hopefully customers can get this deal online. I find it a little insulting shopping in store because of the bag check at the door. They check everyone as if they are a criminal. They really need to put the check out where it belongs.
