Cooking on your stove means cleaning your stove afterwards.
However, there are a few tricks to both keep oil from splattering all over your burners, counter, and backsplash, and clean it all faster when you’re done.
As you can see in the short video above, eliminating splatter starts before you even put food in the pan.

Choose a pan with high sides
This will keep the bulk of the splatter contained. You could also try a frywall, a silicone collar that wraps around your pan to catch higher splashes.
Pat your food dry
Before the food goes in, make sure you pat it dry. Oil splatters as it resists water, so less water means less popping, and a better crust on the outside of your food.
Add a splatter guard
A splatter guard is a mesh screen that will catch the splatter, while still letting steam escape so your food crisps up.
Use a baking sheet
Make cleanup easier by shielding your other burners with an upside-down baking sheet, and clean any grease that may have escaped with hot water and dish soap on a microfiber cloth.
Finally, to get rid of grease on the ol’ backsplash, spray with all-purpose cleaner and let sit for 20 minutes before wiping off.
